Diaspora EDU: Free Black History & Culture Education
BLK Lotus Collective provides free online educational programming on the history and living culture of the global Black diaspora. Through our Diaspora EDU video series and written Spotlight lessons, we teach the stories, people, places and movements too often left out of the record, from Black Wall Street, Seneca Village and Mansa Musa to the leaders who shaped the civil rights era.
What we offer
- Educational video programming: researched, on-camera lessons on Black history, Black culture and the global diaspora, published on the BLK Lotus Collective YouTube channel.
- Diaspora EDU Spotlight: a monthly written lesson on a lesser-known figure of the global Black diaspora, with sources, published here on our site.
- Free and open to everyone: no account, membership or purchase required.
